The Influence of Travel
The Lawrence Tech Solar Decathlon Team, ALOeTERRA, has designed and constructed an energy-efficient solar-powered home. The fact that we have to transport this home from Michigan to Washington, D.C. and back, did not scare us into designing and constructing a mere energy-efficient box on wheels. While travel did influence our design, ALOeTERRA made sure that our home was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
The ALOeTERRA home was designed as a system of three modules, deliverable to any site via semi-trucks and trailers. Each of the three modules consists of an upper and lower section, making for six individual components.
