Structure

Traditionally, the structure of a home consists of stick frames and truss roofs. Although popular, this conventional building practice generally wastes time, materials, and energy. To avoid these problems, ALOeTERRA is using structurally insulated panels (SIPs) as an alternative building material.

SIPs

Structurally insulated panels (SIPs) replace typically needed structural framing and insulation. The panels consist of two layers of structural boards laminated to opposite sides of insulating foam.

Benefits of Using SIPs to Build Your New Home!
SIPs cut down on labor and materials needed for construction.

  • The panels can be used for flooring, walls, and roofing.
  • SIPs provide the main structure of a building without the need for additional framework.
  • SIPs are available in a variety of sizes and can be cut to order.

SIPs are energy-efficient.

  • The SIP's airtight structure reduces the possibility of air leakage and moisture damage.
  • The thick foam core provides outstanding insulation and thermal performance.
  • SIPs are structurally sound and able to resist high winds and seismic forces.
